Late at night I sit up working or doing prep for the following day and in those late hours I'm only left with the music in my makeshift studio space, my thoughts and what ever research I have sitting in front of me. This night I was flipping through a few magazines that I had previously cut out of and was inspired by my find.

I have become interested in the appropriated image as well as the "value" and how we value imagery. The images found in this body of work have been torn from photography magazines I've carried subscriptions to in the past. I have arranged and layered the pages; cutting into the page or removing pages in order to reveal what lays beneath. The works here comes from the "Merit Award" series.
